Dr. Malhotra 參與的研究團隊近期於《Dementia》發表〈Impact of the Diagnosis of Dementia in Older Care-recipients on Their Family Caregivers’ Depressive Symptoms and Quality of Life〉一文。本研究使用新加坡四波縱貫性資料，探討older被照顧者被診斷為失智症後，家庭照顧者心理健康與生活品質的變化。經歷被照顧者新近診斷的照顧者，其憂鬱症狀最高，身體與心理生活品質（quality of life, QoL）最低。迴歸分析顯示，其心理與環境生活品質均出現顯著下降，凸顯失智症診斷後提供照顧者支持的必要性。
