Dr. Lusk 參與的研究團隊於《Journal of the American Heart Association》發表〈Triptan Initiation and Cerebrovascular Events in Patients With Migraine: A Nationwide Cohort Study〉。本回溯性世代研究納入 869,092 名偏頭痛患者，探討使用triptans藥物與腦血管事件之間的關聯。研究採用propensity score–weighted analyses，結果顯示，開始使用triptans藥物的患者，其腦缺血性中風、顱內出血及心肌梗塞的風險均有所增加。其中，缺血性中風的風險超過未使用者的兩倍（HR = 2.37），但年度絕對風險增加幅度相對較小（0.17%）。研究結果指出triptans藥物的使用與後續血管事件之間存在顯著且獨立的關聯。
