Dr. Garcia與合作研究者近期在《The Journals of Gerontology: Series B》上發表〈Cognitive difficulties among middle-aged and older Latino adults: within-group variation across U.S. states〉一文。本研究利用美國社區調查數據（2008–2019）考察美國45歲以上拉丁裔成年人認知障礙的州際差異。結果顯示各州之間及拉丁裔各亞群體之間存在顯著差異: 在美國出生的拉丁裔報告的認知障礙程度高於外國出生者；波多黎各裔、多明尼加裔及古巴裔等特定族裔群體中觀察到較高的患病率。本研究結果表明，出生地、族裔背景與州級背景因素相互作用，共同影響美國拉丁裔成年人的認知風險模式。
