Dr. Yu 參與的研究團隊近期在《International Journal of Social Research Methodology》期刊上發表〈Respondent characteristics' moderating effect on mixed-mode effects: an example of subjective well-being measurements〉一文。本研究探討調查模式是否會影響受訪者面對主觀幸福感問題時做出社會期望的回應。本研究以台灣縱貫性調查數據為基礎，運用 propensity score matching 以處理選擇性偏誤，比較了面對面訪問與線上問卷的回應差異。結果顯示，面對面受訪者在家庭生活與經濟狀況滿意度方面的報告分數高於線上受訪者。這種模式效應在年輕受訪者及高教育程度者中尤為顯著。
